Hawaiian tradition, style showcased in London; Milan, Paris up subsequent


HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Hawaiian tradition and style is being showcased on the runways of worldwide style weeks.

Native Hawaiian designer Micah Kamohoalii unveiled 40 items of his assortment Saturday in London Style Week.

The occasion was scaled again with some exhibits and events canceled in mild of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing, although some runways had been nonetheless allowed to proceed.

Kamohoalii and his staff labored to design new items that tied conventional style to the distinctive tradition discovered right here on the islands.

“It’s so lovely that we’re celebrating our our bodies, our tradition, and our tradition embraces everybody and each measurement and each fashion and each hair coloration and pores and skin coloration. And that’s what we did, we put Hawaii on the runway simply the way in which we’re,” Kamohoalii stated.

After London Style Week, Kamohoalii will take his staff to Milan and Paris Style Week later this month.
