A number of of India’s prime wrestlers have been dragged away and detained by police in the course of the newest protest towards the alleged abuse of feminine athletes.
Olympic medallist Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia are amongst these detained close to the Indian parliament in Delhi.
The athletes are demanding the arrest of Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Singh – an influential lawmaker and politician from the governing BJP – who’s accused of sexual abuse and harassment of feminine wrestlers – allegations he denies.
