Critiques:
“Affected by the standard pitfalls of low-budget filmmaking, Loch Ness Terror is a surprisingly stable creature characteristic. Whereas the route is mundane and results vary from excellent to downright abysmal, there’s sufficient right here to advocate to creature-feature fanatics. It is a enjoyable one.” BlogCritics.org
“I’m assuming the screenwriters solely wished to point out off their cheap-looking Nessie costume (that nobody advised them seemed about as menacing as a Muppet), as they convey in a number of school age-looking characters, for no different purpose than to turn out to be monster chow.” Cinema Knife Fight
” …as for poor Nessie… Right here she’s lowered to a clunky and largely motionless puppet that appears horrible in lengthy shot and easily laughable in close-up. The mannequin is so terrible that Buchanan correctly retains it as distant from the digital camera as potential although it’s all in useless.” The EOFFTV Review
” …despite the fact that the creature right here does at the very least appear to be our notions of Nessie, and within reason accomplished in lots of the lengthy pictures (thoughts you, the model of the beast used for closeups is absolutely dangerous […] we’d like not concern that this one strays too removed from Larry’s ordinary normal of badness […] It’s a kind of movies which by no means fairly involves life, even when one or two moments handle to be moderately good.” Rivets on the Poster
“It’s unusual, however the laughable monster, the dangerous appearing, the dangerous and sexist dialogue, and the amazingly low manufacturing values make The Loch Ness Horror a really shut copy to a lot of these lovably dangerous Fifties big-monster films […] The campy materials on show right here occurs to be what makes this Buchanan effort a lot totally different from his others – that it ends in a variety of unintended laughs.” The Unknown Movies
“Every time Nessie is entrance and middle, The Loch Ness Horror is bearable as a result of the monster is so hokey. When the characters take middle stage, the film hits a brick wall. The ineffectual hero and worsening supporting characters with overdone Scottish brogues get in your nerves terrible fast.” The Video Vacuum
