The pageant, which concludes this weekend, is the oldest occasion of its type having been based in 1932 — and due partly to the romantic backdrop of the floating metropolis, is likely one of the most visually arresting. Paparazzi photographs of friends arriving by personal water taxis conjure photos of Previous Hollywood glamor, and pink carpet moments have adopted go well with — with many A-listers choosing archival couture over latest runway appears.
